To induct and grow talented graduates into the rain Operations team. Successful candidates will assist and collaborate with the rain operations, sales and engineering teams to build world-class solutions across the whole business.

You will be working with our special projects team tackling varied problems across the business with a solutions/outcome focus. The projects will cover many domains: data analytics, software development, complex telecommunications systems, radio networks, and core platforms!

We will pair you with an experienced engineer or specialist who will provide guidance and mentorship while working on fast-paced projects. You will get hands-on experience across the business as well as exposure to various engineering disciplines.

The special projects team is a small, flexible and dynamic team passionate about technology and its use to make our customers and rain as a whole better! The work you will do must have measurable impacts across our product portfolio, customer satisfaction and rain operations.

Day-To-Day Activities

Our team and project focussed environment means your activities may vary from day-to-day and week-to-week but will include:

• Architecture and design of network products, systems and platforms
• Deep-diving into customer-specific problems on the network to solve problems
• Analysis of complex data sets covering multiple domains to find better ways of doing things
• Working with our data analytics, development, DevOps and business intelligence teams to get the best data in the hands of those who need it

• Must be a self-starter, we expect our graduates to find their niche and ‘next’ problem to solve
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high personal integrity
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Creativity and ability to communicate ideas effectively
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent professional experience
• Aptitude for complex problem solving
• Experience using cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and related platforms
• Functional understanding of Linux, scripting and internet protocols
